Me and my 78 year old dad had breakfast with y'all on this Friday morning and the Food and our Waitress with the Pink Floyd t-shirt on were FANTASTIC!!

To be honest needs work on cleanliness, the restroom and seeing into the cooking area though dated which is fine really needs more attention to cleanliness

Mmmmmmmmm good

So disappointing. My husband and I stopped here for lunch on the way home. I ordered the hamburger steak and gravy. When I got home I realized my meat was burned completely through. They tried to cover it up with gravy but that didn’t work. The mashed potatoes were stiff like one big block and the macaroni and cheese was watered down and had no taste to it at all. I was scared to try the greens. The only thing that was ok was the cornbread. I will not be spending my money here ever again!!

Home cooking at it's finest. Comfort food that reminds of grandma's and holiday fare. Black eyed peas that explode with flavor, complementing fried catfish. I butter and jelly my cornbread for a desert!

Comfort food at its best! Many,many side dishes. Chicken and dumplings and fried chicken breast so good.Meatloaf also a winner,! Turnip Greens,fried squash yummmy.

My food was brought to me not even 7 minutes after I ordered. It was also delicious. Try their beef tips and rice. Also the women working the front are all very sweet and engaging. I felt right at home being here! :)

Great place. Meat lovers omelet is very good, best burger I've had in the area. Service is always on point.

I had one of the daily specials: Chicken & Dressing, it comes with 3 sides and your choice of cornbread or roll. The portion sizes were generous and it all was very good. I ate two sides with my entree and my toddler was satisfied with the mac and cheese. Good prices. Attentive and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of parking.

Great Southern home cooking with entree and 3 sides. Breakfast is always good. Comfort food like Grandma used to make!Lots of bang for your buck.

Let me sum it up the food was very salty and old looking one of the lady's who took our order over the phone act like I was calling her personal phone and was bothering her we are here visiting from San Diego worst experience ever at this restaurant.

I've lived in shreveport my whole life and just ate here for the first time, and I've been missing out. Good food. Seems relatively homemade. Some stuff is definitely canned or frozen but they take the time to prepare it their way and add good flavor to it. The fried chicken breast special was enormous and juicy and the breading was perfectly seasoned. I went back the next day for chicken and dumplings and they were wonderful. They were the lump style dumplings, which aren't my favorite, but the texture was perfect and the sauce was delicious. Mac n cheese was good, just classic buffet style mac n cheese. Can't wait to try breakfast, i could smell the pancakes and yum.

Food sometimes is iffy. My squash was too done and room temp, my hamburger steak was good.

The food is great! One of my favorite places to eat. The reason it only got 4 stars is that you almost cant place a Togo order at lunch anymore. I had to call 4 times before someone answered the phone and it took over an hour for them to have my two hamburger steak meals ready. Will definitely eat there again, but it's almost too popular at lunch time.

This has long been my favorite breakfast spot. I was disappointed this morning. We ordered biscuits and gravy, it took around 30 minutes to show up and the biscuits were burned and dry. I hope this was a one time thing, I grew up on Southfield food

Friendly, efficient staff. Lots of choices. Food could be more consistant -- all I want is an egg cooked to medium every time. Still, it feels like an old friend, so I keep going back.

ALWAYS good food in an atmosphere unlike any chain restaurant, now brought to your car (w/ a smile) for curbside pickup. Best (Friday) meal of fried catfish w/ your choice of 3 delicious (nice sized portions of) home cooked veggies (my FAV is okra & tomatoes) in south Shreveport which has really been enjoyed this Lent season!!!

Fantastic place to go and get a great breakfast. The servers and very nice and the place is filled with memorabilia. The biscuits are amazing with sausage gravy! It does get really busy for Sunday lunch because everyone's knows they have great food!

Great place! My kid loves it! Patti is our favorite waitress. Has a strong local feel and great plate lunches. I like the pork roast best when they have it. The club sandwich is great too!

The food is good enough that I would come back. I wish the side items were better. I had the fried catfish and it was delicious. My wife had the beef tips and they were amazing.

I just ordered a country fried steak and eggs meal with grits and biscuits and couldn't wait to eat it being that im 4 months pregnant and starving. Everything was good except the steak that is burnt but you cant tell because its smothered in gravy. Thought it was just me until my boyfriend told me his pork chops had a burnt taste as well. Wasted trip and money...

Service was a saving grace.Food was ok.Bathroom's take this place way down.Our waitress was awesome and didn't even have to try she was so good.They need to upgrade the bathrooms big-time.

Pretty good joint if you're lookin for well priced southern food that tastes good.Food is served very quickly so you won't be waiting long.

I ordered the smoked chicken breast,cabbage,yams, broccoli rice and cheese.It was all bland no seasoning.Usually my food is great.Today I was very unhappy .Well at least my dogs were happy.They must have some new cooks.

Love this place. Love the southern hospitality and the food. The service is good too. My ultimate favorite southern soul cooked meal. Best day is Saturday. Their corn bread is yummy, beef tips is to mouth watering and their okra and tomatoes are the best!!! Highly recommended while in Shreveport.

Great home style cooking, friendly staff, and great prices

When my husband has an morning appointment at the VA we always enjoy having breakfast at this local diner. The locals eat here as well people who work near by. One thought to keep in mind their hash browns are home style potatoes.

Hankering for a home cooked meal? Southfield Grill is the place to satisfy that hankering. The chicken and dressing is one of my favorite meals it never fails to satisfy. They have some really good vegetables too. I've not ever made it to the desserts. The desserts do look good though.
